Greetings,
This is somewhat in reference to my previous thread.
The issue with this kind of thing is that Excel has built in functions which occur when you double click, alt + click etc. etc.
Now, with the Alt + Click, the research pane comes up. I've counteracted this by temporary disabling the research pane during the course of the macro:
My issue with double click is that if someone double clicks the border of the cell, it will select the end of the column/row/etc (similar to how Control + Up/Down/Right/Left) does.
There IS a method of disabling this - it involves going into the options menu and disabling the drag-and-drop fill handle:
Capture.PNG
However, that's quite a useful function and I'm not massively comfortable disabling it - plus, the settings wouldn't carry over to others using the spreadsheet (I think?)
Is there a VBA method of doing so - so that I could disable it on the start of the macro and reenable it at the end?
Thanks,
Lady Marmalade
EDIT:
Guys I'm very sorry for wasting your time. A quick "record actions" on excel figured it out for me. For future reference if anybody comes across a similar issue:
