Auto Generating Permutaions

I would like to generate permutations for practicing guitar patterns to be imported into a flash card program.

Each card will have the following fields that will each contain a list of variable values: Key, Degree, String, Finger, Pattern, Direction. These fields will each correspond to a column in the resulting spreadsheet. So one card (row) might look like this:

Key: Bb
Degree: 5
String: 4
Finger: 1
Pattern: Major Scale
Direction: Ascending

I want to be able to create every combination, given a list of values for each field. For example, I want to practice the major scale in all keys (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, Ab, Bb, Eb, C# / Db, F# / Gb), starting from each scale degree (1 - 7), starting on each string (1-6), using each finger (1-4), both ascending and descending. I need to be able to change the list in each field. For example, a Major chord has degree 1, 3 and 5, while a Major scale has degrees 1 - 7. If a field is left blank, like direction, it should generate results leaving that factor out. I know very little about Excel. So if anyone could attach a spreadsheet that does this, it would be awesome. If this is a really hard task that I should post to a freelance site for a paid programmer, just let me know.

Oh, and I don't even know if "permutation" is the right word. Maybe I am talking about combinations. Let me know, and I will ask the moderator to change the title.
