Reformating Old Datasets

Data for a given transaction is currently being entered into a table format like the top one. I want to change the way data is entered so that it will show only the Categories and amounts directly associated with a particular transaction in each row this is do to a change in the way the data is entered. I have three years of data I need to convert and doing it manually is a daunting prospect.

I am trying to figure out a way to automate but I always seem to jumble the data. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.
