I am building a macro to loop through workbooks and use a UDF "findTerm" to return true if excel can find the term in the iterated workbook.
For each workbook in the loop, I use:
The problem is, the function does not return True even when the term is present in the workbook. The function returns false, and yet when I do a manual search there it is.

Where do you mention the list of workbooks to search in ?

the list of workbooks are iterated by a loop which calls the function I pasted above

Show us the Code that calls the Function.
Your Function is looking in the Active Sheet...is that the intention?
