Attaching actions to hyperlinks

Good day all,

I have 100 hyperlinks attached to objects, they are linked to my log sheet. I would like to click on a link, go to the log click anywhere in column B and have the label of that object paste there. So when I go back and click another object it should take me back to the log and be able to paste different text or label in column B when clicked. I tried assigning macros to the hyperlinks but failed.
