Auto-fill on a large scale

Hi guys, I've got the following dataset (see attached image) which I'm trying to reconcile. Is there is a simple way to automise filling the blank cells with the cells above them. There's over 2000 rows in this dataset which is why I'm seeking a quicker way that copy and pasting or clicking the bottom right corner of each cell.

The formula is just an example but I'm sure you understand:

A55: =A54

Copy A55, select the entire vertical range (I believe selecting the entire column will work), Go To Special (Ctrl+G), select blanks, paste. Then copy and paste special values the entire column.
