    Remove duplicates with variable range

    Hi Guys
I am copying rows from one sheet to another then I want to check if the second sheet has any duplicates. I have checked on line but all the examples have predefined ranges. Here the rows will change every time and the columns may change.
I am enclosing a sheet just in case, though it may not be necessary. I am copying from BDC2 to Transactions and then removing duplicates from Transactions .

I want to be able to check for duplicates with the rows and columns to the last cell as in Ctrl End (but when I use that it gives the last cell as fixed in the code).
    Hope this makes sense.
Looking forward to finding a solution. Thanks in advance.

What do you want to do with the "found" duplicates? Which column needs to be checked for duplicates? Do duplicates only need to be found in the "BDC2" sheet? Will that sheet name always be the same?

Re: Remove duplicates with variable range

    HI Stnkynts

Firstly thanks for having a look at my sheet. I really appreciate that.

This is a transactions sheet and the BDC2 (Bank Downloads) is the original download after it has been worked on. There are new original downloads as frequently as one likes. This is why the removal of duplicates needs to be dynamic so to speak. So it is likely that I will or if i give the system to mates that someone will put a duplicate into the transactions. Any duplicates found are to be deleted.

Background: All the other sheets in the workbook are built off the transactions. _VAT payable- Budget- Summary and sheets specific for some friend's needs. So Transactions has to reconcile with the bank.

I have though noticed a grave mistake in that to make it easier for me I removed some on the bank description ( time ) meaning that there will be duplicates which are not duplicates (£50 cash machine twice on the same day). I will attend to that now. This will not affect my need to be able to remove duplicates.

Hope that answers your question and that the background is useful.

    Thanks again
    Mark

Re: Remove duplicates with variable range

Which column (or columns in the BDC2 sheet) need to be checked for duplicates?

It might help if you give a specific example of a duplicate to be deleted. At this point I have no idea what, specifically, should be deleted or not.
