    Transfer data to another sheet

    Hello all,

    Great forum!

I joined to deal with a particular problem, I found the answer in another post which had a workbook attached.

I have tried to amend the workbook for my needs and have done so to a degree.
The problem I have is I am unable to get all the required data from the Invoice sheet onto the index sheet

I am no good with code! I have attached the sheet and would be very grateful for some help/advice

    Thanks

    Kevin

you extended the number of lines for the invoice sheet do you intend to use that many?
if so...on the index did you want to transfer every single line of the description over?
if so is the value per line or per invoice?

minor amendments to the clear invoice was required as you added extra lines
what do you intend to use cell C40 for?

    Hi Hum,

    Thanks for looking!!

    1. Only need 6 or so lines
    2. Total invoice value to index is ok,
    3. C40 was just text "Please use reference No"

    Cheers

    2. Total invoice value to index is ok,
what do you want as the description then?

C40 was just text "Please use reference No"
does this change from invoice to invoice or will remain the same everytime?

    also with vat
    are all your invoices vat?
are you going to use that check box Vat applicable?
if not will just get rid of it

    also on the index tab
did you want total value prior to vat or vat inclusive?

Re: Transfer data to another sheet

    Hi Hum,

    1. Description could be the first line of the address
    2. C40 remains the same on all invoices
    3. 99% are VAT so the option is good

    Thanks
    Kevin

Re: Transfer data to another sheet

    ok see attached

your invoice is slightly different to the one i prepared the other time so the coding is slightly different in places
i added feature that will make it ask you to check first row if you have not completely it in full

this is done by cell N39 which is hidden along with all the course dropdown list

the vat i have left in
the controller of this is C45 (its in WHITE font so you dont see it)
you might want to move the check box into the invoice print area if you want it shown on the invoice

    as vat calculates differently
subtotal now has a different formula as well

    Formula: copy to clipboard
