excel file to work as a database for storing pdf files

Hi,

I have an excel file with few data and file name with extension pdf.
i want to send the excel file to my customer thru email and when they click the file name from excel column the appropriate pdf file should open form.
is it possible to do this without pdf attachment in email.
(Excel file should work as database with some pdf files which should be able to open by clicking the column names)
