Change From 1 January 2015 Thursday to 1 January 2015 Thu

    Greetings,
    1- I have entered 1.1.2015 into A1 cell.
2- I am looking at A1 cell and see 1.1.2015.
    3- Right click A1 cell >> edit cells >> date >> 1 January 2015 Thursday
4- I am looking at A1 cell and see 1 January 2015 Thursday

I want to see 1 January 2015 Thu instead of 1 January 2015 Thursday in the A1 cell.
So, I want to see first three letter of the day name.
I need a vba code for this.

    Thank you very much.

    Good!
    But I have extra question

    Yes, I am seeing 1 1 2015 Thu now.
But I want to see 1 1 2015 Per now. (Per is the first three letter of Turkish Thursday).
