Advanced filter to sort and sum data

I have a worksheet that is connected to an Access database, which gets transaction data. There are about 30 different transaction categories, and I would like the filter to do two things: copy the data over to another worksheet and sum the values of the different categories (example: category entries will most likely appear in various rows of the worksheet, I want the sum of all of the entries to appear). any help is appreciated...
