Question List Box Synchonize across worksheets

    Hello,
I have a copy of the same list box across multiple worksheets. I would like to have the lists synchronized.. ie. .if one sheet one, I have paged down a few pages within the box, on sheet two I would like to view the selection I made on sheet one vs having to scroll down on the list see my selection

    Any help would be appreciated

    Hi binster,

Have all the ListBoxes reference the same 'Linked Cell' if using 'Active X' ListBoxes or the same 'Cell Link' if using 'Forms' ListBoxes. The cell can be hidden under one of the ListBoxes.

Thanks for the reply Lewis. The list boxes use the same linked cell and named range for reference list. The list is rather long ( about 1000 entries). In the sheets where the list box is duplicated, I want to replicate or synchronize any scroll actions that occurred on another sheet so the active selection is highlighted in the visible area of the list box on all sheets where the list box is duplicated.

It seems like you are using a Forms 'ListBox' (spaces in the name). It does not seem like a Forms 'ListBox' can do what you want.

An 'Active X' ListBox seems to be able to behave more like you want. I do not like to use 'Active X' controls, but in this case, it seems like it might be right for the job.

Thanks Lewis. Active X controls worked better, but they resulted in other strange quirks that were a problem. I'll play around with it more in the future, but for now, I will keep with the forms controls.

When I use 'Active X' controls, I often have to reposition them using VBA when the workbook opens (especially .height [which Excel often changes to 0], and .width, .top, .left).
