Dear Friends,
I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to do the following and I would be most grateful if you could please help me out.
I have an MS Excel 2010 workbook with worksheets named '1' to '12' and another sheet named 'Availability'.
Sheets '1' to '12' represent each month of the year whereby users input their tasks in text format (no numeric value) on a daily basis.
I'm looking for a way to format the corresponding cells in sheet 'Availability' whenever a user inputs something in their respective cells in sheet '1', '2', '3', etc .
For example - John would put 'aaa' in cell b6 in sheet '1' and cell B13 background would turn red.
I tried to use Conditional formatting but the process is too tedious.
The ideal solution will be once any text is input in a cell, the corresponding cell in sheet 'Availability' change to red.
Grateful if anyone could please inform me whether this can be done using VBA and if possible how it can be done.
Attached is a sample of my workbook and contains only sheets '1' and 'Availability' .
All other sheets are for the remaining months and are of the same display, format and size.
Thank you beforehand for your assistance.
Best regards,
Shameem
