Post Macro to extract data from another workbook, specific to user

    Hey guys,

My mind is blank when it comes to macros - as a rule I turn to google and simply copy and paste the macro, but I cant find one as this request is quite specific.

I have a spreadsheet where work requests are logged – this is filled in by multiple people, detailing their request and tracking it along the way. One of our guys needs to extract this information on a weekly basis to provide a report to the client – obviously he could do a filter then copy & paste, but a simple macro button would make his life much easier as he isn’t excel savvy.

What code would I need to run this?

    Thanks!

    Hi

It can be done via a macro or a formula.

You need to do a for each loop on the cells in the range to look at. Then an if statement.

    Both should be on google.
    Hope this helps

Sometimes its best to start at the beginning and learn VBA & Excel.

Please dont ask me to do your work for you, I learnt from Reading books, Recording, F1 and Google and like having all of this knowledge in my head for the next time i wish to do it, or wish to tweak it.
