Locking Spreadsheets for User Editing but not edits via code

I have a workbook with multiple sheets that are populated via autofilter of the first sheet. I want to make it so that the sheets 2-sheets x can only be edited by the VBA code and not by any user accessing the workbook. Any tips?

Password protecting the sheets results in an error message from the code.
