Send Data from Dropdown List to Multiple Sheets in first empty cell in a specified column

Greetings,

Is it possible to have a selection from a drop-down list on Sheet 1 be automatically transferred to the first empty cell in Column B for 5 separate sheets. Sheets 2 through 6. The first empty cell would not necessarily be the same across all 5 sheets, but the Column would be the same. I'll be honest that I don't really know where to begin except that I'm fairly sure it will need to be VBA code and in that department I am very much a novice.

Assumes Sheet1 A1 holds your drop-down.

Hey John, thank you for the input. Your code works as needed, but I must be doing something wrong. In order for it to update, I have to open the VB section and force the code to run and then it updates Sheets 2 - 6. Do I need to assign it as a macro to my drop down list or ??? If so, how?

I hope this wasn't a dumb question, but the learning curve is currently steep for me.
