    If cell contains "|" then macro otherwise move on to next row.

    Hi and thank you so much for looking at this. This routine works, yet I would like to be able to trigger the macro when a new row is added because it contains "|" in column E on the sheet.
    I've included comments that might help. I know this is rough. I'm still very new at this. Perhaps an expert can cheer me up or consolidate what I am trying to do. Thanks!!!

    I think you should post 'before and after' samples of you sheet. But this does the splitting only if | appears in the cell:

    WOW! Thank you...both give me more than I expected....Many many thanks. I do need to tweak just a little. John, After the split I loose the data in B rather than add separate row but no biggie. Your help has saved me big time! Bernie, I will post samples next time. Sometimes I think it is a turn off for some experts to see so much work...point taken
