Will the recipient of the email have access to the same network server that you have when you create the email?

You should probably use CDO if you are going to use Gmail smtpserver. See Ron's example at: http://www.rondebruin.nl/win/s1/cdo.htm
You can also use Ron's routine RangeToHTML() for the .BodyHTML.
