Exclamation How to insert an object in Excel but also have it be invisible when not needed

I'm helping to create a form on Excel using Macros. I'm trying to add a red diagonal line across a group of merged cells when a certain check box is checked but have it not there when it's not checked. There are several grouped cell boxes with data inputs on the page that have the same option to add the line across the cells when not used. The problem is when the line is not visible, because the box is not checked, it's just transparent and I can't select check boxes under the line. I want to be able to be able to input data in the merge cells when the line is there.....It's been a while since I've had to deal with macros so any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Macros in Excel

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Re: Macros in Excel

Hi, welcome to the forum

Please take a moment to read the forum rules and then amend your thread title to something descriptive of your problem - not what you think the answer might be. (think google search terms?). Once you have done this please send me a PM and I will remove this request. (Also, include a link to your thread - copy from the address bar)

Many members search our previous posts, and thread titles play a big part of the search. I doubt anybody would do a search based on your title?

To change a Title on your post, click EDIT POST then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(note: this change is not optional )
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
