range("C1").Value = evaluate("=CHAR(MODE(CODE(A1:A20)))")

Hi! Sixthsense
Wow excellent! thank you very much
Hi
Just out of interest, and apart from the obvious that you want the Value I to be returned, with different values in column A what result would you expect. It's a rather odd construction and with different values both alpha numeric and blank it's not immediately obvious how this is working.
For instance with A in A11 the result is A, but with P or S in A11 the result is either P or S.
Similarly with P or S in A15 the result is S. With a sorted list of the characters A-T the result is a #NA unless one of the characters is repeated and with your original listed in reverse order the results above are different.
It's an interesting conundrum and as yet unclear to me. Maybe something to do with the absence of a 2nd MODE element and it appears that the relative order of the characters is a factor.
I presume this is not your real data and just a representative example, What is your real data and what result would you expect in different circumstances?

Hi! Richard Buttrey
Thank you for advice
...purely out of interest for my edification how are you using this in the real world and what does the result represent.
I'm Sorry! English will be immature
