#NAME? when Macro is ran using a VB script file

When the Macro is ran using an external VB script file that opens the spread sheet it pastes #NAME? in each of the copied cells except for the dates which are correct. The Macro works correctly when manually opening Excel and executing it. The Macro copies values from a data linked calculated cell and pastes the values into a cell in another spreadsheet then saves and closes the target spreadsheet and the original spreadsheet. I have attempted to use timers in the Macro to ensure the original and target sheet both have time to open prior to executing the Macro. I have looked at the normal reasons that cause #NAME? but could not find any that explain this or how to make it work.

Without seeing the macro or /and date, I suspect the VBA specialists won't be able to help much
