Question Question with using a hard equallity in a conditional 'if' statement...

    Hello,

Is there a syntax in VBA that would yield an equality that is close to, but not precisely equal to the conditional? The thing is: I have data with prefixes that I need to compare against the same data without the prefixes. I know of other ways this can be done, but I'm making a concerted effort to make the script as small and readable as possible for future users.

An example of the data would be something like....

Yes, that would be it. I knew I'd used the code before but couldn't place the syntax. I searched through some old workbooks and couldn't find what I'd done before.

    Thanks for your reply.
