Linking Check boxes in Excel

Hello all,

So I am creating a checklist and within this check list, I have a cell that contains 2 check boxes...one for a pass and one for a fail. I would like to be able to drag this formatting through a range and then link the check boxes to cells for some additional formatting controls...HELP!?!?!

You can't copy checkboxes by dragging formatting but you can copy and paste the cells containing the checkboxes and the checkboxes should get copied too. Linking them to cells is more work because the linked cells associated with checkboxes do not update automatically, like when you copy and paste formulas. So you would have to do each one individually, or write some VBA to do it one time.

Are you using Form checkboxes or ActiveX? You posted in the VBA forum, how are you using VBA for this solution?

I am looking for a vba code to do the linking for me once I have created the check boxes I need.

I have attached a sample of the report that I am creating with the check boxes. I have made some formatting changes in hopes that it makes this process easier. I would like to find VBA coding that will link each checkbox in a row to the cell starting in column V and continues across until each Checkbox in row has a cell linked to it. And relative to that row and progress row by row through the report as I create additional records on this report.

You are using Forms checkboxes (remember that question I asked in post #2?). I am not familiar with how to do this with Forms checkboxes in VBA; I have only done this with ActiveX. Hopefully someone else will be along with the solution.

What do you have for ActiveX. I can switch and use ActiceX
