Macro to find and update data in different workbook

Hello,

Excel VBA runs a macro that takes data from about 75 different work books and aggregates the data I need into 1 worksheet in a single workbook. Is there a way to then, I guess, run a second macro that takes the aggregated data, and runs it against a different work book finding matches (i.e. "Cat" in both workbooks) and updating the date in the "Cat" column or row?

It would be helpful if you attach (cut-down versions of ) both workbooks to illustrate what is being matched to what (click on reply, GoAdvanced, then look below for ManageAttachments).
50 rows in each should be ample, provided there are some matched and some non-matched items.
Desensitize your data if appropriate before posting.
In the workbook where you want amendments made, please include 2 sheets
- the one before any matches and
- a 2nd sheet showing the same values updated to reflect the matching, highlighting what has been matched and the amendments made following the match

Is the matching "exact"?
