Conditional Macro

Hello, I am wondering if anyone can suggest base code I can manipulate to fit my needs. I am calculating y-values for a graph. So i know how to create graphs and all that. My main issue/question is:

I am calculating the height of water in a tank until it reaches a certain level. I am calculating the height at different time intervals, every 5 minutes for 24 hours. At a certain level, the tank will begin to drain and I want to calculate the height at each 5 minute intervals as it is draining. I can easily calculate the rates of change in vba I am just not sure how to set up the conditional formatting/logic. Any help would be appreciated.
