Macro to search a website and return the value

Hello everyone,

I am not sure whether this is possible, but I have a spreadsheet which analyses ANPR data. There are times where I will be trawling through 1000's of car registration numbers, looking for a specific make and model - ford focus for example.

I was seeing whether it would be possible to create a Macro, which would search the car registrations in Column A via a website, so www.autocheck.co.uk for example and then in column B it would return the make and model of the car.

Is this possible at all?

Hi Chris,
I have tested it with my own car and seems to work with the first test, but If I use the same reg no, it returns an error.
The other weird behavior I have noticed is if I type the reg no on the body of the code, it works fine, but as soon as I linked it to a cell, it complains.
Ahm, I do not know if this behavior is to do with the erratic nature of IE, or there is a bug on my code.
I am unable to use XML parsing as the site does not take me to next page after I entered the searched reg no. The page remains on the home page.
Please try it by putting all valid reg nos on column A, starting from A2 and see if you get the right result.
