Cannot get Data Validation to override a macro driven cell.

However, this is like a default arrangement and I will occasionally be required to override
some of the settings such as "square" to "round". Can this be written in a macro?

Too vague. Explain what conditions constitute when and when not to override. Those specifics are what would be added to the code.

Basically, its customer driven and sometimes they want product which deviates from a "default" setting, I thought maybe there was a method via VBA where I could activate a "default" response but with the
option to override with data validation, which is already in the cells, If the necessity arose.
