Move master list to separate workbook

    Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to bring a project to my company but have no VBA skills (tried online courses but this old dog sadly can't learn new tricks). I have received tremendous help in the past and was hoping you guys could help out again.

I have a spreadsheet that does everything I need it to (Thnx Dflak), but I need to alter it slightly so that the daily register can be emailed/saved seperately without the other worksheets or the VBA code, especially the VBA code.

The ideal solution would be to have the Master list etc and the Daily register in seperate workbooks.

Thanks for any and all help given.

    Regards

    Sherman

    Hi Sherman

Do you wish the Daily Register to be saved as an Excel File to be emailed or as a PDF to be emailed?

And why would this be ideal...what do you gain?

The ideal solution would be to have the Master list etc and the Daily register in seperate workbooks.

Re: Move master list to separate workbook

    Hi Jaslake,

Thanks for looking at this thread.

Yes, I need to email the completed daily register as an excel file. There are 2 reasons why it would be ideal to have the master list in a separate woorkbook. First, the master list needs to updated by senior staff and if it can be protectedby password so much the better. Second, I need to email the daily register without any vba coding (and several other worksheets that will be added later. These sheets will not have any VBA coding )

Hope this is of help to you.

    Regards

    Sherman

You could copy the Daily Register worksheet to a temporary workbook, save that as .xlsx, mail it and delete it.

Are there formulae in the Daily Register that depend on the Master sheet?

    Hi TMS,

Thats exactly what Ive been doing up to now. I just thought Id ask around and see if there was a more elegant solution to both issues.

    Hi Sherman

What Trevor is suggesting is that this can be automated...

You could copy the Daily Register worksheet to a temporary workbook, save that as .xlsx, mail it and delete it.
    Instead of...I assume manualy...

I'll need to look at this...
