Add sequential # to userform once saved

Hopefully someone can help me finish off a form I have created (first attempt at VBA).

I am looking for a solution whereby once the form I have created is "saved" a sequential number is added to the form and the speadsheet. I would also like to know how I could then re-call the sequential # within the form to edit and re-save without it creating a new number.

Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

I have managed to create a GUID but this string of characters is too long and will take too long to recall the userform record. Am I right in assuming that this isn't as easy as I first thought?
