Automate cell-by-cell averaging across multiple worksheets?

I have 50+ number-populated worksheets, and want to combine them into one average worksheet of the same array size, where the final value A1 in the average worksheet is the average of A1 values in worksheets (1,...n), the final value B1 in the average worksheet is the average of B1 values in worksheets (1,...n), etc. Please see attached Excel workbook for sample data. Help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, create two new sheets, rename them as first and last, and position the first sheet to the left of the Data1 sheet and position last on the right of your last data sheet, so that they form a "sandwich" of sheets with the Average sheet outside this group.

Then in A1 of the Average sheet you can use this formula:

=IFERROR(AVERAGE(first:last!A1),"")

and you can copy this across and down as required.
