Update cell when another cell has been updated

    Hi there,

I have three cells that will always have data change in it, I would like a fourth cell to show the most recently updated cell.

I was told this would most likely be a VBA type of thing, but I don't know how to write VBA codes.

The cells with the data are O34, O35, O36. I want the formula to go into cell O38. If O34 is updated, I want cell O38 to show this number, then if O35 is updated, O38 will change from showing the value in O34 and show the value of O35 now, and so on.

    Thank you

    Hi Anarchus,

Try this event macro* on the sheet where you want cell O38 to be updated with the latest entry from cells O34, O35 or O36:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
    Regards,

    Robert

    * To install this macro follow these four steps:

    1. Copy my code to the clipboard (Ctrl + C)
    2. Right click on the relevant tab name and from the shortcut menu select View Code
    3. Paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the clipboard from step 1 into the module
    4. From the File menu click Close and Return to Microsoft Excel
