    Search through folder and subfolders a pdf file

    Hello,

    I want to search a pdf file through subfolders. (The folders are January, February.. etc).

    My user enter a number in inputbox then I want to search XXX.pdf in all the subfolders than open it IF it exist.

    Hi all,

    I don't want to start a new topic because this one exactly what I'm looking for.

    I'd like to search for a pdf-file within a folder (and all its subfolders) and open it.

    I tried several vba codes found on the internet which I adjusted to my needs. No success.

    Let's say that I have my search string in A1:
