Hi I will look at your code.

but I cannot reply until you insert code tags.

Also please post a sample of your spreadsheet.

Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Use code tags around code.

    Posting code between
Please Login or Register to view this content.
tags makes your code much easier to read and copy for testing, it also maintains VBA formatting.

Click on Edit to open your thread, then highlight your code and click the # icon at the top of your post window. More information about these and other tags can be found here

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    2. Check back on your post regularly. I will not return to a post after 4 days.

Spurious character, e.g., a leading or trailing space? Perhaps the case is not the same?

Please take a few minutes to read the forum rules, and then edit your post to add CODE tags.

In the workbook open code, you have institutes as Instititutes...one to many ti's in there

You don't have to add Rep if I have helped you out (but it would be nice), but please mark the thread as SOLVED if your issue is resolved.

Thanks for pointing that out – that would have been an embarrassing error when seen by my users. However, the spelling error is in the label portion of the items to be added, and not part of the code per se. The problem still persists. Do you have any other thoughts?

There's nothing wrong with the code; you just need to have an exact match.

Data validation on the input would ensure that only valid selections are allowed.

SOLVED! I now see where the spelling error got me into trouble. I hadn’t cleared the “Facility” cell and so it still contained the misspelled word. I literally spent an entire day trying to de-bug this. You’ve all saved my more time and frustration.
