    Macro to extract specific data from an excel template

    Hello,

    A few years back I got help with a Macro that would be run at month end to extract specific data from workbooks created from an excel template. They were all saved in the same folder so when I ran the macro it opened each workbook and extracted the data I needed into one worksheet. The criteria was if the value in a particular column was greater than 0.00001 then it would copy specific cell values to the worksheet. I don't have access to this wonderful Macro anymore. Can anyone help?

    Hi patchpollito and welcome to the forum,

    Microsoft has a newer tool called Power Query that you can install as an Add-In that will do exactly what you describe above.

    Power query is much easier than VBA and can pull in multiple files worth of data, all at once.
