Protecting a cell after data entry without protecting sheet

I cannot find any information on protecting a certain cell after data entry. I was wondering if anyone knew how to do this without protecting the whole sheet. I am needing this so that I can lock the due date for projects after the supervisor enters the date.

IMHO the best way to do this is to unlock all cells in the sheet, then lock the certain cell you're concerned about. Then protect the sheet. This will allow users to change anything except that one cell. I am guessing this mitigates any reason that you wouldn't want to protect the sheet.

    Hi Acousticlife81

I just found some code by Lenze that can assist. The below allows for no editing in Ranges A1 to A10...No protection of worksheet needed. It also pops up with a message if they try to edit the cells.

    Hi Acousticlife

Worked fine when testing. Should go into 'thisworkbook' object. Herewith a sample workbook. Try and make changes in column C
