Excel macro stopped working since i upgraded to Windows10

Could easily be to do with your profile set up as lots of people in my office didn't have ActiveX enabled to be able to make the changes written in the code.

Could it be a reference i am missing

Look in the Tools/References menu for anything marked as 'MISSING'

Yes i already looked into that but there was nothing marked missing.

try to change the extension from xlsm to xlam. the site didn't allow me to upload it with the .xlam extension
I will edit my initial post and mention this

Also in the trust center i have enabled activeX and macros

Sorry, can't help.

I renamed your file and tried to load it - nothing happens; no errors, no message or anything but it just will not load.

Sorry i think i gave the wrong information at the start, this is an vba add-in not a macro. I'm sorry but i'm new to excel.

Active X is not supported in excel version 64 bits- only on 32 bits.

Thanks this seemed to be the problem, i tested it on a 32 bit office version and there was no problem running it

You are lucky coming to the right forum. I had spent over 6 months trying to figure out why I was getting this error.
