    list of macros

    Hello Chaps
I have written quite a few macros and now i would like to display the list on screen at the touch of a button
What i would like to display is an alphabetical list of all macros in all workbooks with a short description
of what each one does. The list displayed when "macros" is selected does not have a description of the function
of the macro and this is a bit of a disadvantage requiring the operator to actually open the code each time

Let us say that the first sheet of my workbook would have a button called display macros. on selection
of this button something like a form would open with a list of all macros in column 1 and a description
of what is does in column 2. Maybe even open the macro in a small window??

can anyone suggest where i could find to code to do this or can anyone suggest the VBA code which will
    allow this to happen.
    best regards

    fred evans

    Re: list of macros

You should be aware that you will need to change the Excel security settings in the Trust Center/Macro Settings to 'Trust Access to the VBA object model' to use any code that access code in a workbook. This is an integral part of macro security - so, if necessary (or even if it exists ), it may be an idea to check with your IT dept to see if they have a policy for this.
