Talking combine data from multiple files

    Hello,

I have 200 Excel files. Each file corresponds to one set of data.

I need to do 2 things:
    1) organize each set of data in a single row
In the file attached as example ROW 6 is my header
Row 7 is my first row of data
I need to put the data starting from row 8 in AY6 (the column AX will be left empty)
In this way I will have all the data for 1 set in the same row

    2) At this point I need to combine the data from the 200 files in a single file. In this case in row 8 I will have the second set of data, in row 9 the third set of data and so on.

Any suggestion on how I could do that?

    Thank you!

Re: combine data from multiple files

can you supply us with 2 more files along with the workbook that will get all the data in? And if you could give us some examples of which data go where, it would be perfect.
Will the 200 files be in the same folder?
Is the structure of those 200 files all the same?
I don't understand how you can get all the data contained in the attached workbook into a single row. Need more datails.

Hi faustfisher and welcome to the forum,

There is a newer tool in Excel called Power Query that may be worth learning, as you have so many files. You can download it from Microsoft as an Add-In.

See what it can do, which is what I think you want.
