Macro Compatibility Issue between Excel 2003 and Office 365

Hi,

I have an Excel file that uses macros from Microsoft Excel 2003. We are having compatibility issues between it and our new version of Excel from Office 365. When opening an office 365, excel simply does not respond and does not open the file.

Is there any way to update the file so it is compatible with Office 365?
Any help would be appreciated in this regard. Thank you.

Without knowing what's in the file it's a little difficult to form opinions...

OK - I've only got up to 2016 (desktop) and have never tried the 'online' variety, but it loads, compiles and seems to work in 2016 so can't really comment further except for does this apply to your version?
