Multiple values concatenated into one cell

    Hi guys,

I have a spreadsheet called Geiss catalogue which has approx 22000 part numbers in column A, it then has the corressponding machine that the part number goes to in Column B

some part numbers are duplicated meaning they can go to multiple machines.

I was hoping to show only the 1 part number in column A, and then the machine numbers in column B (if there are more than 1 can they be concatenated into the cell)

    Current layout

    Proposed new layout

I have attached a powerpoint and the spreadhsheet for reference.

    Thanks

    Hi Sintek,

I think you are getting what I mean, however the code just crashes excel each time, and I don't know if I can explain why..

does your code look down all column A for a part number, correspond the value to the right?its a bit like a vlookup but for for multiple results.

Also I can replicate what I am trying to do on a pivot table as shown..2017-06-21_13-50-28.jpg

    Hi John H. Davis,

thanks for your help also, but when I run this code it just sorts the part numbers A to Z, it does not concatenate all machine numbers for the 1 part number into the cell.

    Thanks

Can you attach a sample workbook with two sheets that shows your layout (Beginning) and how you would like it to be(Result).

    see attached John H. Davis.

the spreadsheet named geiss catalogue after is how I would like it too look, only instead of all the machines listed below each other in a cell I would like them all concatenated into 1 cell. (I just don't know how to do it)

    Herewith result after running code....

Perhaps you should upload a sample with less info and your required result - mock up if necessary.

Thanks sintek, this works well, yet it doesn't concatenate all of the cells,
see below for what I mean. the part number 1002293-303 still has two rows of machine numbers.
but you are definitely on the right track, so thanks very much for your help!!
