Hi, I am very new to Macros so currently have only managed to create one using the record macro function which will not work with this scenario
I currently have a workbook where I paste rows of data into two tables in different sheets and have a table in a 3rd sheet which checks if the corresponding cells match i.e. sheet1 J3 matches sheet2 J3 then my rec table will show "TRUE"
I put in a macro using record macro to sort both tables by the same columns so they will be in line with each other if they have the same data rows, my issue is that often one side will have more rows than the other because I have to include extra data rows which may not be required for my report and after the sorting these can end up anywhere in the table and will throw out the data so it doesn't match properly
to get my desired results I currently work manually and start from the top of sheet2 (it is always this table which has the extra rows) and cut out the first row which has multiple "FALSE" readings and paste it to the bottom of the sheet2 data, this will then usually mean that all the rows below this one until the next extra data row will match "TRUE"
I will repeat this until all the extra rows of data are at the bottom of sheet 2 and everything above this should then be mostly matching
can anyone help me to put in a macro to do this cut and insert row paste, it would have to do it one by one to ensure the rows below the cut one are allowed to match before looking for the next "false" row to cut and insert below
the cell columns that would all need to be false to activate the cut and paste of a row would be rec table J, K & M
Thanks
