You have given us absolutely nothing to go on here.
You have not explained about the button
- is there VBA behind the button?
- post the code
- is it an Excel icon?
etc
Click *Add Reputation to thank those who helped you. Ask if anything is not clear
Agree you need to give more detail, but have you tried googling for an answer yet?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

The code is correct - it works
Perhaps there is a problem with your workbook or a problem with Excel itself
Try
1. Create a new file
2. Create a button
3. Attach the above code to the button
4. Put values in Sheet2 cells A1 and B1
5. Click on the button
If the code works
- then there may be a corruption in your original file
If Excel stops again
- then there is a problem either in Excel itself or perhaps with a temporary file
I agree with Kev....Had same issue a few times...File was corrupt and on one occasion I had to do a repair on Office...
Good Luck
I don't presume to know what I am doing, however, just like you, I too started somewhere...
