Alternative to VLOOKUP when data is in min/ max (i.e. 0-5) form vs. table form

I have a spreadsheet that is downloaded from a website. It lists a price for rebar based on a range of rebar weights that varies for each customer.
I want to be able to enter in the rebar weight into a user form and have it automatically populate the rebar price.
The rebar weight is listed as a string with 2 ranges. i.e. "Under 10t" and "10t - 15t". See tab "Orginal"
I know I can do this if I convert the data into a table and use vlookup or index match, but I'm trying to avoid that because it's a lot of extra work. See tab "Table
I can think of code to de-concatenate these strings and put them into rows that identify the min and maxes of the price ranges. See tab "Proposed"

Is there an alternative to VLOOKUP using a system like this of mins and maxes?
