Copy specific columns from multiple workbooks to new workbook
Hi, I am new to the Excel Forum and new to VBA. I'm stumbling on this: say I have three excel workbooks with different columns of data. They all have columns for name, address, and zip code (but they are not in the same order in each file). Is it possible to copy the information from just those three columns in each workbook to one new workbook?
I really appreciate any attempt at help!
Hi nwix and welcome to the forum,
There is a newer tool called "Power Query" that is a Microsoft Add-In that can do this easily. You will need to have the column heads spelled exactly the same in all three workbooks and then you will do an Append of the three workbook's worksheets.

Power Query is so useful it is built into Excel 2016 and no longer an Add-In.
