    Name manager

I'm trying but not sure if it possible to use the name manager like sort of like a global variable. Lets say for my test I want a simple dropdown list with Yes/No/Maybe

Is it possible to have an this stored somehow in the name manager without referencing to any range ?

Will save me a ton of work if its possible

    Re: Name manager

I'm not sure why you'd want to use the name manager for that when you can use data validation and enter the values for the drop down without the need to have them stored in a range.

    Re: Name manager

I thought maybe someone would say that
    what im trying to do:

I have all the values stored on my sheets("Lists") the values are different from day to day
and I want to add them to a my dependent dropdown list for use in another sheet - and before adding them to the dropdownlist I need to make a few changes to the different items before adding them...

    around 50-100 Col of data.

I thought I should just ask a simple question rather then explain all of this..

    Re: Name manager

I interpreted your question the same as #2.

Does a named range not suffice? Source would be like =MyNamedRange

Of course, one can easily reset the range manually. The range can be set as dynamic if needed. Is that what you are asking?

    Re: Name manager

Im not sure how I should explain this.. I Have dynamic range setup based on the values in my sheet("Lists" ) The problem is that I need those values edited before they get into my dropdown boxes, - but if I change them in the sheet("lists") there will be conflict as many headers will have same name. I have found a solution which is to duplicate every column and then make the changes to the items in the mirror column

    Here is what I have:
(also my coding skills are not the best)
    Worksheetchange

Then for this to work I need to duplicate everything in "lists"
here is what I got so far...

(2nd part of this code is still under development as we speak, obviously I dont go trough all of this hassle just to remove "dk")

that's why I thought it must be better to add all of these items into name manger and change name before they come into the dropdownlists.
