    Finding Difference to previous entry with new entry

    I am in desperate need of help. Have nearly wasted a whole day trying to solve this

    The excel file will be use by CNC operators during part production. when a tool breaks in the machine they will record the tool that broke, the work order, the running total of parts made and notes. This data will populate in the PartsData sheet.

    I need a way to lookup the running total when a particular tool was changed and subtract that from what is currently being entered so the table tracks how many parts are made per tool not when in the run was a tool changed. Also I need a way of separating this calculation by work order.

    Sorry if my code is sloppy, I'm relatively new to VBA. any tips will be of great help

    I don't see any data in the workbook about tool changes. Is that information saved in another workbook?
