Can't filter records through a parameter SQL query in a protected worksheet

    Hi all,

I have an issue trying to filter my records through a parameter SQL query when the worksheet is protected. In order to clarify a bit, below you can find a picture of what I mean.

I don't have any difficulty in updating the data from my external reference since, through a macro linked to the button "ACTUALISER les donnees", I unprotect the worksheet, update the data and protect the worksheet again (highlighted in red in the picture).

When it comes to filter the data, thorough the parameters highlighted in blu in the picture above, though, I start having issues. Basically, if the worksheet is protected, the table starting in cell D64 is not refreshing/updating. Everything is working fine if the worksheet is unprotected.

I tried different solutions: unblock all the cells starting from row 64 up to the end of the worksheet, allowing, when protecting the worksheet scenarios, inserting rows/columns, deleting rows/columns, etc.

    Any hint? Workaround?

    Thanks a lot,
    Stefano

Sorry for the double message, since my thread ended up in the third page, I was trying to bring it up only to know if what I'm asking for it's something really not possible in Excel.

    Thanks a lot.

    Have a good day,
    Stefano

Re: Can't filter records through a parameter SQL query in a protected worksheet

    Hi all,

I think I managed to find a workaround. Basically I'm trying to unprotect my worksheet when clicking (not double click) a cell in a specific range, if I click anywhere else, at the contrary, I'd like to protect my worksheet.

The fact is that this code is perfectly working if, obviously, I double-click the cell, but is there any way to make it works if I only select (one click) a cell? I tried using "ActiveCell" instead of "Target" but with no success.

    Thank you very much,
    Stefano
