Access VBA Update error 3075

I am trying to update the MRD column in the Meet table with a count of all related values in the REGIONALMEET table, but I keep getting a runtime 3075 error.

I have tried it without the WHERE clause but get the same error.

Throws an error:

Runtime error 3075
Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression
'COUNT([REGIONALMEET].[MID]) idcount'


Any assistance would be appreciated.
