Protecting a sheet name with the sheet is generated by code

    Hello,

I am trying to allow a user to be able to do anything they want on worksheet except change its name. I have found a bunch of great things online for if the sheet is always there but I have the issue of the sheet being generated by code. Is there a way I can make sure the name stays the same?

    Thanks

    Doug

Pretty sure Workbook protection can be used to prevent renaming sheets, have you tried it? (Review | Workbook Protection)

Are you saying protect the sheet and then just enable all of the check boxes for what the user can do?

Nope, Workbook protection <> Worksheet protection. On the Ribbon go to Review | Workbook Protection. It will open a dialog and have structure checked. Enter desired password and hit ok, re-enter and ok again. Now try and change the sheet name of any sheet in the workbook and you cant. Worksheet protection protects the contents of a specific sheet, so this is different.
