Producing multiple .pdf's based on cell value

    Hi all,

Bit of a long shot but I'm trying to save myself some time.

I have to produce a large number of pdf forms from a number of templates with an address on the bottom of each one.

I wondered if it might work along the lines of:

    1. Create new sheet and look down Column D for first templates ref no.
    2. Find that template in a folder and set as a background (In whichever format is easiest, currently .pdf but can change to .jpg).
    3. Lookup the value of Column A, B & C in the same row and paste into preset cells in the new sheet.
    4. Print
    5. Repeat next row until blank.

They all need to be printed, so one at time all at once makes no difference, I just wondered if it was feasible?

    As always, thanks either way.

    It might work

It would be easier creating the templates in Excel, populating them with your data and then exporting as PDF or printing to a PDF file

Your preset cells and the template as a background might work, but seem problematic

    Thanks for the reply,

I see your point, after some thought myself I can see it being one of those shortcuts that may too unreliable to be worth doing.

The main problem being the variation and amount, quite a few templates and quite a few addresses add up to a very large sheet, this will probably be quicker if i just stick to copy/paste into a pdf editor and print one by one.
